ULA Scrub Statement (why)

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2012) - The launch of an Atlas V carrying the United States Navy's Mobile User Objective System-1 (MUOS-1) payload was scrubbed today due to weather conditions associated with upper level winds.

The Atlas V vehicle and MUOS are safe and secure at this time. The launch is rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 17 from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla.

The opening of the launch window is 5:42 p.m. EST and extends until 6:26 p.m. The forecast for Feb. 17 shows a 40 percent chance of favorable weather conditions for the launch tomorrow.
